We have several years of experience in transporting geocacher groups. If you’re looking for a reliable ride to caches that can’t be accessed without a boat – welcome aboard!
We organize transport services for geocaching groups at the Sipoo and Porvoo sea areas (incl. Sipoo river and Porvoo river) and at Lake Lohja with adjacent, navigable water areas.

How to go geocaching?
You can come by yourself or gather a group with you and convene with our skipper concerning which caches to visit. You can provide the material for instance as a map through the c:geo app or in other format, but preferably with at least some coordinate information.
You can present your wishes on the order of the caches to visit. Our skipper calculates the transits and the time necessary for these. Based on this information, he will provide an estimate for the trip’s duration, including embarkement and disembarkement for the caches, as well as finding them. You will be presented with a cost calculation and an offer based on this. At its cheapest, half a day geocaching trips go for just a few tens of euros per person. The maximum group size at sea is 5 persons. At Lake Lohja we can accommodate up to 12 geocaching enthusiasts, but landing on natural beaches is conducted with a smaller vessel.
Geocaching trips are always subject to weather conditions. If a trip cannot be safely organized, it can be postponed or canceled without any cost to you or your group. Optionally, the parts of the trip that can be safely organized can be undergone, you will obviously only pay for the part of the service that has been delivered. Some of the outermost rocks and small islands at the sea can be off limits during hard winds.
When to go geocaching?
As a responsible actor, we refrain from trafic close to bird hatching areas during hatching season. Landing on some marine islands and rocks is forbidden between 1 May and 1 August or 1 May and 15 August. Our sailing season begins early, therefore many areas are already accessible in April. During hatching season it is also possible to land at areas that are not restricted.
Geocaching at sea is usually possible between April and September, at times even until October. The longer the Autumn gets, the less predictable the weather conditions become. At Lake Lohja geocaching is theoretically possible from ice melt to ice set.
