We begun boat taxi services under the brand Venetaxi.com in 2021 in Sipoo and Porvoo. With the exeption of an enginge update, our base for our functions has remained the same ever since. We started offering private sighsteeing cruises and auxiliary program services in 2022. Since the beginning, we have strived to both financial, social and environmental sustainability. We applied for and were granted a sustainability certificate in 2022.
Venetaxi.com is the first internationally environmentally certified boat taxi operator in Finland. Our audit for the Good Travel Seal program will be renewed during the spring 2025, after which we will re-apply for the Sustainable Travel Finland certificate, that we already have achieved previously.
For the season 2025 we expand the demands towards our own actions and strive to fulfill even more rigid demands for environmental certification. We will compensate all cruise emissions and strive to compensate up to 50 % of our total emissions during the season 2025.
After the succesful audit, we will add our update sustainability programme to this website.
In the summer 2024 we founded a new mother company for our different areas of function, called Finska Skärgårdskompaniet Oy Ab. At the same time our functions expanded to Lake Lohja with a new vessel. Since 2025 we also provide other tourism and travel services under the brand Lohja Lake Travels.
Our areas of function are divided under the following brands:
- Bodö Venetaxi.com – taxi boat and small group sighsteeing tours at the Finnish Gulf
- Lohja Lake Travels – tourism and travel services and taxi boat at Lake Lohja
- Kristian Meurman Productions – culture and entertainment production services
